The 3rd gen Nest Learning Thermostat is a smart device that learns your schedules and helps you save energy. Recently, the thermostat received an Energy Star from EPA, which is an international standard for energy efficient consumer products. According to Nest data, the Thermostat enables saving an average of 10-12% on heating bills and 15% on cooling bills.

What other features does it offer? Let’s see!

3. Save energy and money using Eco Mode

Nest Thermostat offers you the possibility to cut off some of your electricity bills by the use of Eco-mode. All you need to do is follow the Leaf. You can turn it on manually or let the Home/Away Assist, do the work. With the use of built-in”, Nest by itself figures out if you’re in or out of the house. When you are out, it will change itself into energy-saving mode, so every time you will be gone, you’ll save money. Upon your arrival, the Thermostat will return to your regular schedule. To keep up with all the savings you have made, Nest sends you an email with the monthly home report, so you can get the summary of your energy use. Pretty awesome, isn’t it?

4. Let Nest learn your schedule

The Nest learning Thermostat is a really smart one, as it learns your daily routines and adapts to them. Just show your habits (like turning the temperature down, when your housemates come home or turning it up in the morning when you wake up) and set the preferable temperatures for a week. Auto-Schedule will quickly learn your preferences and add them to your daily plan so you will not have to program them every day.

As you can see the Nest Thermostat is a really awesome smart device. What makes it even cooler, is the fact that now you can include it into your Yeti rooms, routines and charms, making your home even smarter.
